Our Team
We not only have the industry’s top team in our search niche, with a decade of shared experience in working together, but we also have the most stable and harmonious group in the industry. We have been fortunate not to have suffered the political upheavals related to defections and losses that have plagued other companies in our sector of the search business. We have a team of 10 people with multi linguistic ability including French, Spanish, Mandarin, German and Russian as well as advanced technological knowledge related to communication, marketing and recruitment globally. Five are consultants who are capable of high-level executive search, and five are researchers and management staff.

Our President, Dr. Laverne Smith
Our team is led by Dr. Laverne Smith who is widely regarded as Canada’s and one of North America’s most skilled consultants. She is a seasoned expert with extensive experience and contacts and with a significant understanding of public and not for profit organizations. She has conducted numerous large-scale international searches, including a number of university presidencies. Laverne holds a PhD and has been honoured with a Business Woman of Influence Award.

Our truly global reach and unmatched record, whereby candidates are recruited both nationally and internationally is evidenced by the fact that our placed finalists from outside of Canada typically range from 20 to 50 per cent of our placements. No other search firm in our sector in North America can match our record in this regard.

We build long term relationships with clients and have the honour of being invited back to conduct many searches. Given this relationship base, we tend to work for fewer organizations because we are kept fully engaged by return clients and must often turn away new business once we are at capacity.
